Billy Gritt, a Fort McMurray native, began creating rock, rap, and country music at 14, influenced by artists like AC/DC and Corb Lund. By 17, he had opened for Chilliwack. In 2015, his band recorded "Workin' Town" and gained recognition, though they disbanded before advancing in a competition. His song "Alberta Strong" went viral during the Fort McMurray fires. Now in Edmonton, he focuses on hip hop, blending gritty rap with emotional and spiritual themes.
